This year, all 16 regions celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr. Hundreds of Muslims gathered in regional centers for prayers.
In Assin Fosu, EUGENE KWAME AMPIAW reports that Ayeku Abdulai Tetteh is the District Chief Imam. He urged Muslim youth to avoid drug addicts. Such relationships can hinder personal growth and development.
Muslims prayed in Sekondi during the Eid celebrations. A group of Muslims also prayed in Tamale. Women participated in prayers in Tamale as well. Sheikh Mohammed Kameel led the Eid-Ul-Fitr prayers in Accra.
During Ramadan, Imam Tetteh emphasized the dangers of drug abuse. He noted it threatens lives and harms health and well-being.
RAYMOND APPIAH-AMPONSAH reports from Accra that Sheikh Mohammed Kameel spoke to the community. He urged them to be a beacon of hope during Eid ul-Fitr celebrations. He encouraged them not to distract society.
