Remedial Schools Association of Ghana (RemSAGH) inclusion in shaping educational policies is essential to advocating for students’ needs, according to its President, Emmanuel Kojo Ayisi.
Ayisi, who also founded Debest Pre-University College, highlighted the importance of the association’s involvement in decisions that impact Ghana’s education sector.
His remarks followed his commendation of Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu for introducing fee waivers for first-year students in public tertiary institutions.
Ayisi described the initiative as a groundbreaking move to support disadvantaged students and narrow the education access gap.
He called on policymakers and stakeholders to actively back the program, emphasizing its potential to transform lives.
Ayisi reaffirmed REMSAGH’s commitment to championing policies that address challenges faced by underserved communities.
The fee waiver policy has since garnered widespread praise nationwide.
