Minister of State for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has denied claims about an investigation into former President Nana Akufo-Addo.
On Friday, March 28, he called the reports baseless. He urged the public to ignore them.
Kwakye Ofosu stated that there is no directive for the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) to investigate Akufo-Addo’s travels.
He emphasized, “The Presidency has not given any order to the NIB regarding this matter.”
These comments come after reports suggested that President John Mahama instructed the NIB to examine Akufo-Addo’s official travels.
Some sources claim this is part of accountability efforts in managing state resources. However, government officials insist no such directive exists.
