Reports that Prof. Ken Attafuah resigned untrue; he retired from active service—NIA

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has refuted claims that Professor Ken Attafuah resigned as its Executive Secretary.

In a statement, the NIA clarified that Professor Attafuah exited the organization after completing his post-retirement contract, not through resignation, as some media outlets reported.

The NIA expressed gratitude for his seven years of dedicated leadership and service to the authority and Ghana, celebrating his achievements during his tenure.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Professor Attafuah and wish him every success in his future endeavors,” the statement concluded.
