Residents cry out for security intervention in Nungua Adogon amidst crime surge

Residents of Adom, a suburb of Nungua Adogon in Greater Accra, are living in fear as a wave of robberies and violent crimes grips the community, particularly along the Adom Route.

Locals report that criminal activities often begin around 6:30 PM, with attackers targeting unsuspecting pedestrians.

A recent incident involved a young woman who was mugged by two men while walking, highlighting the insecurity that now defines the area.

Despite multiple appeals, no police post has been established, and residents feel abandoned by authorities. They are now urgently calling on government officials, especially MP Agness Naa Momo Lartey, to intervene.

Community members are demanding regular night patrols, stronger law enforcement presence, and collaborative efforts to reclaim safety in their once peaceful neighborhood.
