Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has criticised the government following an alleged attempt by National Investigations Bureau (NIB) operatives to arrest Assin South MP, Rev Ntim Fordjour.
Speaking at the MP’s residence, Afenyo-Markin condemned the incident as undemocratic and urged the government to engage opposition members with respect rather than intimidation.
He stressed that political disagreement is not a crime and called for dialogue instead of force.
“Enough is enough. Stop it. Let’s engage,” he said. He assured government of the opposition’s willingness to cooperate through proper channels, reaffirming solidarity with Fordjour and declaring, “He will never walk alone.”
