Respect judicial authority or face consequences – Inusah Fuseini warns politicians

Former Tamale Central MP, Inusah Fuseini, has cautioned politicians to respect the authority of the courts, warning that defying judicial power will have serious consequences.

His statement follows the conviction of Akwatia MP, Ernest Yaw Kumi, for contempt after violating a court order.

Speaking on Channel One TV, Fuseini emphasized that no politician is above the law and that the judiciary enforces its rulings based on legal facts.

He urged politicians to tread carefully, reminding them that court decisions are rooted in law, not personal bias.

The case against Kumi arose after he defied an injunction on his swearing-in, leading to his conviction and a bench warrant for his arrest after failing to appear for sentencing.
