The Ministry of Health has not conducted an independent investigation into Anne Sansa Daly's qualifications.
Anne Sansa Daly was appointed to the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA). President John Mahama revoked her appointment immediately. This decision followed concerns about her medical credentials being fake.
On May 23, 2025, Health Minister Kwabena Mintah Akandoh announced the revocation. The letter was signed by Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President. It stated that Professor Dr. (Med) Ernest Yorke would replace her on the Board.
The statement requested steps for Professor Yorke's swearing-in. It also expressed the President's highest consideration.
The Ministry of Health denied reports that Ms. Daly had been sworn in as a member of NHIA. They clarified that she was not sworn in during the ceremony on May 27, 2025.
Spokesperson Tony Goodman called a report by Graphic Online misleading. He emphasized that Ms. Daly was not sworn in at the ceremony held at the Ministry of Health.
Goodman also mentioned to Channel One Newsroom that no independent investigation had been conducted by the Ministry. Investigations are done through relevant agencies and professional bodies related to her field.
