Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi is now the Chief Executive Officer of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA).
He previously served as the Municipal Chief Executive Officer (MCE) of Obuasi. This was under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.
Boadi's recent victory followed a vote by Assembly Members. He received 55 votes out of 56 cast, confirming his win.
Ashanti Regional Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene has given him some priorities. He urged Boadi to focus on decongesting the city and improving sanitation.
Amoakohene also mentioned addressing challenges at Kejetia Market. These issues are slowing development in Kumasi Metropolis.
He pledged that the Regional Coordinating Council will work with KMA to help residents.
