Roads and Highways Minister, Kwame Agbodza, inspected four major bridges. These bridges are in the Savanna and Northern Regions of Ghana.
The bridges are located at Buipe, Yapei, Daboya, and Nawunu. They aim to improve connectivity in northern Ghana.
Mr. Agbodza was accompanied by Deputy Minister Alhassan Suhuyini and engineers. They also visited the Binjia-Fufulso road and Damango town roads to check progress.
This inspection is part of a broader effort to monitor infrastructure developments nationwide.
After touring the Buipe and Yapei bridges, Mr. Agbodza spoke to the media. He highlighted the importance of these projects for Ghana’s transport network.
He stated that the bridges are vital for moving goods and people between regions. They also serve as key routes for neighboring landlocked countries.
Mr. Agbodza expressed satisfaction with the construction pace. He assured local chiefs and residents of the government’s commitment to completing the bridges.
This inspection is part of a four-day tour across several regions. The tour includes Northern, North East, Savannah, Upper East, and Upper West Regions.
During this time, Mr. Agbodza will visit various road infrastructures. He plans to inspect roads like Sawla-Wa, Wa-Bolgatanga-Tamale, Nalerigu-Tamale, Wapuli Bridge, Tamale-Yendi-Tatale road, and Tamale Ring Roads.
He will also pay a courtesy call on the Yaa Naa during his visit.
