Roads Minister unveils Tamale Outer Ring Road initiative during visit to Dagbon

The Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Agbodza, announced a new project. It is called the Tamale Outer Ring Road. This project aims to boost economic activities in Tamale. It will also ease vehicular movement in the area.

Mr. Agbodza spoke at the Gbewa Palace on Monday, April 14. He visited the Overlord of Dagbon, Yaa Naa Abukari II. He mentioned that President John Mahama supports this project. It is part of a larger plan to improve road networks nationwide.

During his visit, Mr. Agbodza inspected several key road projects. These included the Daka Bridge at Yendi and the Tamale-Yendi-Tatale road. He also looked at a 60-metre span Bailey Bridge at Wapuli along Saboba road.

The Yaa Naa praised the government's focus on infrastructure development. He referred to it as part of the “Big Push” initiative for national transformation. He encouraged collaboration with stakeholders for timely delivery of quality roads.

In addition, Mr. Agbodza donated 500 bags of cement for the new Gbewa Palace construction. This gesture strengthens ties between his Ministry and local authorities in the region.
