SLTF to reimburse academic user fees for first-year students from June

The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has announced a new policy. Under the No-Fees-Stress policy, they will reimburse academic user fees. This starts in June 2025 for first-year students. The program is for those enrolled in accredited diploma or degree programs at public tertiary institutions for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Dr. Saajida Shiraz, SLTF's Chief Executive Officer, signed the release. The reimbursements align with directives from the Ministry of Education. They also reflect the government's commitment to investing in Ghana’s youth.

Eligible first-year students must apply through the No-Fees-Stress application portal. The portal can be found at https://nofeesstress.sltf.gov.gh. Applications will be validated against admission data from public institutions.

Dr. Shiraz urged all first-year students to apply promptly for reimbursement. The SLTF encouraged eligible students to reach out with any concerns or inquiries on their official website.
