SSNIT shake-up: Osafo-Maafo’s son, three deputies sacked

The government has revoked the appointment of Kofi Bosompem Osafo-Maafo as Director-General of SSNIT, along with his three deputies—Kwame Adu-Darkwa (Finance and Administration), Juliana Kpedekpo (Operations and Benefits), and Nana Serwah Bonsu Amoako (Investment and Development).

No replacements have been announced yet.

Osafo-Maafo, son of former Presidential Advisor Yaw Osafo-Maafo, was appointed in April 2024 by then-President Akufo-Addo after the dismissal of Dr. John Ofori Tenkorang.

His appointment led to key leadership changes, including Pearl Nana Ama Darko’s reassignment to GRA.

With President John Mahama now in office, new appointments to SSNIT’s leadership are expected soon.
