In response to claims made by the Ghana Post Employees Union regarding the dismissal of 100 employees, Sam George, a Member of Parliament, has firmly rejected these allegations. He emphasized that the hiring process for over 600 new employees occurred after the December 7 elections and was part of a broader initiative to enhance service delivery within Ghana Post. George clarified that these hires were necessary to address operational challenges and improve efficiency in postal services.
Furthermore, he highlighted that the recruitment was conducted transparently and in accordance with established protocols. The MP urged the union to focus on constructive dialogue rather than spreading misinformation. He reassured stakeholders that the government remains committed to ensuring job security for existing employees while also modernizing and expanding postal services across the country. This approach aims not only to retain current staff but also to create new opportunities within Ghana Post as it adapts to changing demands in communication and logistics.
