Akuapim North MP, Samuel Awuku, has strongly denied allegations linking him to the controversial takeover of state lands at the Nungua Livestock Breeding Station along the Tema Motorway.
The land, reportedly acquired by private developers—including politicians—has seen state bungalows demolished, displacing agricultural workers.
Awuku, a former Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), dismissed the claims, stating, "I have no land there and haven’t purchased any government land."
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Food and Agriculture has expressed concerns over the alleged encroachment, as Minister Eric Opoku vows to resist the appropriation of state lands.
A petition from the *Concerned Citizens of Borteyman* urges President Mahama to investigate and reclaim the lands.
