Sammy Gyamfi is not my friend, but I accept his apology – Dzifa Gomashie

Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has spoken out about a viral video. The video shows Ghana Gold Board Acting CEO Sammy Gyamfi giving cash to Nana Agradaa. Agradaa is an evangelist and former fetish priestess.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Gomashie shared her thoughts on the situation. She urged the public to accept Gyamfi's apology for the incident.

Gomashie's note began with "Dear Somebody." She recalled meeting Gyamfi during his campaign for National Communications Officer of the NDC.

While she does not consider him a close friend, she sees him as one of her "many aunties" due to their political ties.

During her 2024 campaign in Ketu South, she invited Gyamfi for support. He was unavailable at first but later provided financial assistance and attended the event.

Gomashie also mentioned an incident where a friend offended Gyamfi during the campaign. She felt embarrassed and sent him an apology message. He accepted it, and now she accepts his apology too.

She hopes others will also accept his apology. Gomashie then addressed Nana Agradaa, calling her "the female 'Osofo'."

She met Agradaa once at a 2020 event honoring veteran actress Grace Omaboe (Maame Dokono). At that event, Agradaa distributed large sums of money.

Gomashie expressed surprise at this and asked who Agradaa was. She concluded her post by saying: “This life still baffles me.”

Her final words were: “Learn, unlearn and learn again.”
