Sammy Gyamfi slams Bawumia over ‘arrogance of power’ admission

Sammy Gyamfi is the Acting CEO of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod). He criticized former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. This was in response to Bawumia's claim about losing the 2024 elections due to “the arrogance of power.”

Gyamfi pointed out that critics had warned about this arrogance before the elections. He spoke on Joy News’ Newsfile on May 2. He said, “He said they lost the elections because of arrogance of power.” Gyamfi added that Bawumia would ultimately blame others instead of himself.

Gyamfi welcomed what he called a delayed realization from the NPP leadership. He remarked, “Now he says they lost power because of arrogance of power – then that is what we’ve been telling them all this while.”

However, Gyamfi did not stop there. He accused Dr. Bawumia of maintaining an arrogant attitude even in opposition. “Now four months in opposition, Bawumia has repented,” he stated.

“He now knows they lost because of arrogance of power,” Gyamfi continued. He also noted that Bawumia’s recent comments are even more arrogant than before.
