Sammy needs to answer some questions for us and JM – Franklin Cudjoe

Franklin Cudjoe, President of IMANI Africa, has raised concerns about Sammy Gyamfi. Gyamfi is the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board. Cudjoe believes he needs to answer questions for Ghanaians and President John Mahama.

Sammy Gyamfi is under scrutiny after a video surfaced online. In the video, he gifts large sums of money to Nana Agradaa, a fetish priestess turned pastor. The clip shows him beside his white Range Rover while taking a photo with her.

After their conversation, Gyamfi sat in his car and counted US dollars. Agradaa insisted he give her all the money instead of just some. She then took the cash from him and flaunted it to bystanders, saying she received dollars from him.

Cudjoe commented on the situation, stating that the amount gifted exceeds GHC 20k. He emphasized that Gyamfi must answer questions for both Ghanaians and Mahama.

Meanwhile, President Mahama launched a new Code of Conduct for political appointees. This initiative aims to enhance transparency and accountability in governance. During the launch at the Presidency, Mahama stressed its importance for public servants.

He described the Code as an enforceable framework outlining expected standards. It promotes integrity, impartiality, and prioritizing national interests over personal ones.

The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, warned appointees against crossing ethical lines. He stated that breaches of this new Code will not be tolerated.

Cudjoe's tweet highlighted his concerns about Gyamfi's actions affecting public goodwill towards Mahama’s administration. Another user echoed similar sentiments about Agradaa's involvement with government officials being unacceptable.
