Saturday’s heavy rainstorm caused outages within our network - ECG

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) reported power outages on Saturday.

Heavy rainstorms affected parts of the country, disrupting their network.

In a press statement on April 26, 2025, ECG explained the situation.

They noted that many customers experienced interruptions in electricity supply.

ECG acknowledged the difficulties caused by these outages. They promised to resolve the issues quickly.

The company assured customers that technical teams were on-site addressing problems.

“Our engineers are working hard to repair faults and restore power,” they stated.

ECG emphasized their commitment to returning service to normal as soon as possible.

They apologized for the disruption and thanked customers for their patience.

“The inconvenience caused is deeply regretted,” ECG said. They will keep the public updated on repair progress.
