Saudi Arabia Ambassador calls on Speaker of Parliament

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ambassador to Ghana, Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Dhakel, visited on Wednesday. He met with the Speaker of Parliament, Kingsford Sumani Alban Bagbin.

The visit aimed to congratulate the Speaker on his re-election. It also sought ways to strengthen diplomatic relations between Ghana and Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Al-Dhakel emphasized that the Saudi government sees Ghana as strategic in the sub-region. He requested support from the Speaker and Members of Parliament to enhance ties.

He expressed concerns about some Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) signed between both countries. These agreements have not yet been implemented. He appealed for leadership intervention to address this issue.
