Save The Judiciary protest ends peacefully; gov’t promises to review petition

After the Save The Judiciary demonstration, Stan Dogbe received a petition. He is the Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations). Dogbe represented the Chief of Staff and praised the peaceful protest.

Speaking to the crowd, he highlighted the importance of their demonstration. He called it a sign of Ghana’s growing democracy under President Mahama.

“On behalf of the Chief of Staff, I am pleased to receive your petition,” he said. “We will present it to the Chief of Staff for the President's attention.”

Dogbe expressed happiness that the protest started and ended peacefully.

He compared this administration to the previous one. He suggested that peaceful protests could have avoided divisive politics in recent years.

“If things had been like this over the past eight years, we would not have seen retaliatory politics,” he noted.

He assured demonstrators that their right to protest will be respected. This reinforces the government's commitment to democratic principles.

“Just as we ensured your demonstration was peaceful, we will continue to support such expressions under President Mahama,” Dogbe stated.

He concluded by urging everyone to commit to Ghana’s democratic growth.

“He is going to grow our democracy, and we will work together,” he said.
