Security Analyst calls for punishment of officer who assaulted colleague at Jubilee House in 2017

Security analyst Dr. Adam Bona has urged the John Mahama administration to revisit the 2017 assault case involving Police Officer ASP Jalil Bawa, who attacked DSP Nanka Bruce at the Jubilee House under the Akufo-Addo administration.

The assault, captured in a viral surveillance video, was brought to Parliament by the Kumbungu MP, Ras Mubarak, but the case was largely ignored by the Attorney General’s department, and no prosecution followed.

Dr. Bona criticized the failure to hold ASP Bawa accountable, claiming it allowed him to continue committing infractions with impunity.

Despite his dismissal from the Ghana Police Service, Bawa was reinstated under Akufo-Addo and became a member of the NPP's private security group, the Invisible Forces.

Dr. Bona insists the current administration must address the matter to uphold justice.
