Security agencies not taking sides in Bawku dispute - IGP assures

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, visited Bawku. He assured residents that security forces will remain neutral. Their goal is to restore peace in the area.

He emphasized the importance of cooperation between security agents and civilians. This collaboration is crucial to address the long-standing chieftaincy dispute in Bawku.

The IGP spoke to stakeholders at the palace of Bawku Naba, Zug-Raan Naba Asigri Abugrago Azorka II. His visit aimed to gather information and assess the local security situation.

This visit followed a clash on Wednesday between police and civilians. The incident resulted in one person's death.
