Blakk Rasta is frustrated with the illegal mining crisis in Ghana.
He spoke on the Voice of the Patriot segment of Urban Blend on 3FM. His comments were monitored by MyNewsGh. He highlighted how galamsey helps politicians win elections. However, this leads to ongoing destruction of national resources.
“Galamsey rewards those who destroy our forests and pollute water,” he said. He called for immediate and drastic action against this issue.
Blakk Rasta criticized political leaders for their empty statements. “I’m tired of hearing lip service from presidents and ministers,” he stated. “We need action right now!”
He argued that the government's inaction puts the nation at risk. Pollution levels in water bodies are rising to toxic levels.
“We are sitting ducks, just waiting for our destruction,” he added. He described these criminals as slowly killing the population.
Blakk Rasta questioned why petty criminals are pursued but not galamsey operators. He urged the government to take stronger measures against them. Swift action and harsh enforcement are necessary to protect the nation's future, he believes.
