Sign peace pact - US Ambassador to political parties

With only 19 days remaining until Ghana’s general election, US Ambassador Virginia Evelyn Palmer has urged all political parties to quickly sign a peace pact.

She stressed that this would serve as a strong message to the youth against election-related violence.

Speaking at the 35th anniversary of AMCHAM Ghana, Palmer highlighted Ghana’s democratic reputation and urged parties to prioritize peace and ideas over conflict.

Her statement comes amid growing concerns over the reluctance of major parties like the New Patriotic Party and National Democratic Congress to sign the peace agreement.
