On Friday, March 21, 2025, Sir Samuel Jonah led Mobus Property Development. They commissioned the Col. Ababio Serebour Block for the Ghana Armed Forces Pay Regiment Division.
The Pay Regiment needed more space urgently. This block was commissioned less than 10 months ago.
Colonel Miki Adusei Nkrumah spoke about reaching out to corporate entities. He sought help for the regiment's urgent infrastructure needs.
Col. Nkrumah acknowledged Sir Samuel Jonah and Mr. Kojo Ansah for their support. Their contributions helped bring this project to life.
He introduced Lt Col. Serebour Ababio, after whom the block is named. Col. Nkrumah described him as a transformative leader in the Forces Pay Regiment.
Previously, the regiment only paid salaries to personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces. In 2006, under Lt Col Ababio’s leadership, they partnered with financial institutions.
This partnership led to the creation of the Remittance Group. Col. Nkrumah was proud to be its first officer in charge.
Today, the Remittance Group serves as a hub for transactions for personnel and businesses alike. The office block is named “Ababio Serebour Block” to honor his vision and leadership.
Mr. Kojo Ansah Mensah urged other corporate entities to follow Mobus' example. He quoted former US President John F. Kennedy on serving one’s country.
He emphasized that Mobus measures success by uplifting lives and strengthening communities.
Mr. Ansah Mensah challenged corporate leaders to invest in lasting projects beyond profits.
He expressed hope that this new space would support the Forces Pay Regiment's mission.
Lt Colonel Ababio Serebour (Rtd) thanked everyone for naming the building after him. He urged leaders to prioritize service and inspire excellence among followers.
He praised Colonel Miki Adusei Nkrumah for his initiative and thanked Mobus Property for their generosity.
The ceremony was attended by high-ranking officers from the Ghana Armed Forces, clergy members, and others from the Pay Regiment.
