Six killed, one injured in Adansi Dompoase road accident

A fatal road accident occurred at Adansi Dompoase. It happened near the new Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) office. The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) confirmed that six lives were lost.

On Saturday, April 26, the GNFS issued a statement. They received a distress call at 12:43 p.m. A rescue team was quickly dispatched to the scene.

The operation was led by ADOII Samuel Mensah. They found a VIP bus and a Benz Sprinter involved in a collision. The VIP bus had registration number GW 8455-23. The Benz Sprinter's registration number was GS 6383-20.

The Sprinter was severely damaged from the rear. The VIP bus had partial damage to its front. Rescue operations were completed by 1:28 p.m.

Six deceased victims were handed over to the police. One injured person was taken to Fomena Government Hospital for treatment. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
