So, is the fake doctor in police custody? – Franklin Cudjoe quizzes

Franklin Cudjoe is the President of IMANI Africa, a policy think tank. He has questioned whether Anne Sansa Daly, a fake doctor, is in police custody.

Cudjoe posted his question on X: “So, is the fake doctor in police custody?” His inquiry follows the revocation of Daly's appointment to the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA). This decision was made by President John Mahama.

Reports indicate that her appointment was revoked due to concerns about her medical credentials. The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, confirmed this in a letter dated May 23, 2025. The letter was signed by Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President.

The letter stated that President Mahama revoked Daly's appointment immediately. It also announced that Prof. Dr. Ernest Yorke would replace her on the Board. The Ministry requested steps be taken for Yorke’s swearing-in.

Additionally, the Ministry of Health denied reports that Daly had been sworn in as an NHIA member. They clarified that she was not sworn in during a ceremony on May 27, 2025.

Meanwhile, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine stated they could not find any record for Anne Sansa Daly. This information came after pharmacist Reginald Sekyi-Brown contacted them on May 25, 2025.

In their response, Johns Hopkins said they were unable to locate a record under that name.
