Former Dome-Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has alleged that certain NPP members deliberately worked against her in the party’s parliamentary primaries despite her efforts to apologize for past actions.
Speaking on Asempa FM on February 18, she claimed that a misunderstanding of her actions led to internal party punishment, ultimately costing her the election.
Safo suggested that party officials believed she had wronged them and refused to accept her remorse.
She further pointed to a broader issue affecting female politicians in Ghana, stating that such internal party struggles contribute to the low representation of women in Parliament.
