Sophia Akuffo, Prof. Oquaye submit constitutional reform proposals to CRC

Former Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo and former Speaker Prof. Aaron Michael Oquaye have submitted constitutional reform proposals. They presented these to the Constitution Review Committee (CRC).

The proposals were developed by the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA). They cover all chapters of the 1992 Constitution. The aim is to amend key areas that will strengthen governance and democracy in Ghana.

This submission is an important step in the ongoing review process. Stakeholders are advocating for reforms to improve transparency and accountability. They also seek to enhance the efficiency of Ghana's governance system.

The Constitution Review Committee will review these proposals. They will engage with relevant stakeholders before making recommendations for amendments.
