President-elect John Dramani Mahama has made stabilizing Ghana's currency, the cedi, a top priority for his administration.
Speaking about his plans following a smooth transition of power, Mahama emphasized the urgent need to tackle economic challenges such as inflation and currency depreciation, which have affected many Ghanaians.
He expressed confidence that his government would implement strategies to boost economic growth and strengthen ties with international partners.
Mahama also revealed plans to engage China on technical cooperation issues, with a delegation set to be formed shortly after the transition.
He made these comments during a visit from the Algerian Ambassador to Ghana, Mourad Louhaidia.
