Staff welfare, institutional modernisation high on agenda - Mrs Baffoe-Bonnie

The Director General of the Ghana Prisons Service, Mrs. Patience Baffoe-Bonnie, has a new agenda.

Her focus will be on rehabilitating inmates and improving staff welfare. She also aims to modernize the institution.

Mrs. Baffoe-Bonnie spoke at her induction ceremony on Friday. This event took place at the Prisons Interdenominational Church in Cantonments, Accra.

During her speech, she introduced her agenda called “The New Ghana Prisons Service.”

This transformative plan emphasizes modern correctional practices and staff development. It also includes automation, agricultural expansion, and industrialization.
