The prosecution has reaffirmed its commitment to pursuing the case against 52-year-old legal practitioner Joseph Kwow Addo Sam, who is facing trial for allegedly forging a will.

Principal State Attorney Dominic Bakoma informed the Achimota Circuit Court that the Attorney-General’s office had taken over the case from police prosecutors following a petition from the complainant, Idris Salia.

The court, presided over by Akosua Anokyewaa Adjepong, has given the prosecution until March 11, 2025, to study the docket and submit all necessary documents.

Sam was initially charged alongside Alhaji Seidu Adams Baba and three siblings, but charges against the siblings were later dropped.

Investigations revealed that signatures on the disputed will were forged, leading to their prosecution after an attempt to secure probate.
