Stop galamsey or posterity won’t forgive you – Asuom Kontihene tells Akufo-Addo

Nana Boadi Ampomenim Abodade III, the Kontinhene of Asuom, has called on President Akufo-Addo to take swift and decisive action against illegal mining (galamsey) before his term ends.

In an interview with Channel One News, Nana Abodade III expressed frustration over the environmental damage caused by illegal mining in Asuom, especially by companies like AC Zenon, allegedly linked to Amina Tahiru and Abu Jinapor.

He urged the President to fulfill his pledge to combat galamsey, suggesting a sector review and reforms to address the crisis within the next two months.
