‘Stop haphazard billboards mounting along ceremonial streets’

The safety of human lives must come first when issuing billboard permits. This is the view of Edem Kojo Doe, Head of the Parks and Gardens Unit at the Office of the President.

He expressed concern about how billboards are being mounted. The current situation in Accra and other major cities is alarming.

In an interview with the Ghanaian Times, he highlighted the disorderly placement of billboards. These numerous billboards pose a public safety threat by obstructing road visibility.

Mr. Doe emphasized that authorities need to take permit issuance seriously.
