Stray cattle will be slaughtered and used to feed prisoners – Kumasi Mayor

The Mayor of Kumasi, Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi, has issued a warning. Starting May 1, stray cattle causing problems will be seized. These cattle will be slaughtered and fed to inmates at Kumasi Central Prison.

At a news conference in Kumasi, the Mayor addressed the issue. He noted that cattle roaming freely disrupt public life. This situation is unworthy of the city’s reputation.

He urged herders to keep their animals out of the city. If they do not comply, there will be severe consequences.

The Mayor specifically mentioned areas near KMA and major routes. He stated that visitors should not see cattle waste along these paths.
