Sulemana has earned the right to play - Atalanta coach Gasperini

Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini praised midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana.

Sulemana scored a crucial goal against AS Roma on Monday.

This goal secured UEFA Champions League qualification for Atalanta.

He came off the bench and scored in his eighth appearance.

Sulemana joined the club from Cagliari this summer.

Gasperini admitted he hadn't given Sulemana enough chances before.

However, he believes Sulemana has now "earned" his opportunity.

"I didn’t use him much due to strong players ahead of him," Gasperini said.

"But he’s earned it, no question," he added after the game.

The coach expressed hope for Sulemana's future success.

"I'm delighted for him; he's a top lad with respect," Gasperini said.

He acknowledged that perhaps he overlooked Sulemana's potential earlier.

Sulemana scored an impressive goal, and Gasperini is happy for him.

Now, Sulemana hopes to get more playing time in the last two games.
