Supreme Court cannot intervene in removal petitions – Kwaku Azar cites legal precedent

Legal scholar Kwaku Asare, known as Kwaku Azar, has made a statement. He cited a key Supreme Court ruling. This ruling shows that Ghana's highest court cannot intervene in certain petitions.

The petition concerns the removal of the Chief Justice. Three petitions have been submitted to the President. These were then forwarded to the Council of State for consultation.

Vincent Assifauh, an MP from Old Tafo Constituency, filed the petition. He did this with help from former Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame.

Kwaku Azar referenced a case: Ghana Bar Association v. Attorney-General & Anor [1995–96] 1 GLR 598 at p. 6
