Suspicious Aircraft: This appears to be an April Fool saga – Security analyst

Retired security analyst Col. Festus Aboagye has dismissed allegations by Rev. Ntim Fordjour, Ranking Member of Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, as an "April Fool’s saga."

Rev. Fordjour had claimed two aircraft landed in Ghana with suspicious cargo, possibly cocaine and cash, but Col. Aboagye insists such claims require concrete evidence, not media briefings.

Speaking on TV3’s KeyPoints, he challenged the MP to disclose the source of his information or provide clearer intelligence.

Aboagye emphasized that someone in Rev. Fordjour’s position should first engage official security structures, not the press.

Meanwhile, the government and NIB refuted the claims, citing legitimate reasons for the aircrafts' arrival.

A standoff later occurred when NIB attempted to arrest Rev. Fordjour, who reportedly refused to cooperate, according to government spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu.
