Doctors at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) have resumed emergency services. This follows intervention from a delegation led by Yaa Naa Abukari Mahama II.
The delegation included Zangbalun Lana Dr. Jacob Mahama. They spoke with the Doctors’ Association of Tamale Teaching Hospital (DATTH). The Yaa Naa urged doctors to return to work and save lives.
Dr. Mahama emphasized the urgency of their situation. He said, “We implore you to consider the lives that hang in the balance.” He warned that stopping emergency services could have serious consequences.
Less than two hours after this meeting, TTH announced they would resume emergency services. A statement on TTH’s official Facebook page confirmed this decision.
However, outpatient and specialist services are still suspended. Further negotiations between hospital management and doctors are ongoing.
