Take it, own it! …Pres unveils 1m digital jobs for youth

President John Dramani Mahama has launched the ‘One Million Coders Programme.’ He urged the youth to take advantage of this initiative. It aims to help them acquire digital skills for today's job market.

“This programme is for you, the youth of Ghana,” he said. “Take it and own it. Let this be your launchpad into innovation and entrepreneurship.”

He emphasized that this initiative can bridge dreams and opportunities in the digital age. “You are not just participants; you are architects of Ghana’s digital future,” he added.

This initiative is part of President Mahama’s social contract with voters. He plans to deliver it within his first 120 days in office. The programme is expected to create one million jobs in the digital sector.
