Takoradi-Accra bus crash claims four lives, leaves over 20 injured

A Yutong bus traveling from Takoradi to Accra was involved in a tragic accident near Aggrey Memorial Senior High School, claiming four lives and injuring more than 20 passengers, including children.

Eyewitness reports indicate the driver attempted to swerve a towing car that made a wrongful overtaking, narrowly avoiding a head-on collision.

The bus overturned and skidded before coming to a halt.

Survivors were rushed to the Cape Coast Teaching and UCC Hospitals, though some victims had to be referred due to limited capacity at the teaching hospital.

Emergency response personnel revealed the injured include 10 males, 7 females, and five children. Efforts are ongoing to treat the critically wounded.
