Talensi NDC office set ablaze by 'disgruntled foot soldiers'

Police in the Upper East Region are investigating a suspected arson attack.

The Talensi Constituency office of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was set on fire at dawn on Saturday.

JoyNews' Albert Sore reported that party foot soldiers may be responsible. They are unhappy about John Millim Naabwomya's nomination as District Chief Executive (DCE).

Constituency secretary Augustine Guure said it is hard to confirm these claims. The attackers have not been identified yet.

Guure noted there was agitation after the DCE nominations were announced. However, he could not directly link this unrest to the fire incident.
