Teacher trainee allowance arrears fully paid – Students Loan Trust Fund

The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has announced good news. They have successfully disbursed teacher trainee allowances for the 2023/2024 academic year.

A total of 65,685 students received their arrears. This payment covers three months and comes from 46 public Colleges of Education nationwide.

Dr. Saadija Shiraz, the CEO of SLTF, issued a statement on April 10th. She said this payment supports tertiary education students in Ghana. It is part of the government's plan to improve education.

The SLTF emphasized that this payment aligns with its mission. It aims to facilitate access to financing support for students.

Additionally, the move supports the government’s reset agenda. This agenda focuses on strengthening support systems in education and ensuring smooth academic progress.

The SLTF also reassured students and the public about its commitment. They aim to improve operations and provide timely financial support services.
