Techiman people attack Otumfour in Techiman; Damage his cars and people

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and his entourage were attacked on their return from a funeral in Nkoranza, Bono Region, on December 2.

Reports indicate that residents of Techiman hurled stones at the convoy, damaging several car windows.

Members of the Asantehene’s team were prepared to confront the attackers but refrained after Otumfuo signaled them to stand down.

Despite the provocation, no physical altercations were reported.
