Tema firefighters contain blaze at Flour Mills Ghana

A fire broke out on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors of Flour Mills Ghana Ltd. Firefighters from the Tema Regional Command quickly responded. They extinguished the fire by 12:30 PM on Wednesday, May 21.

One worker suffered smoke inhalation during the incident. He was taken to the GPHA Clinic for treatment. Medical officials report that he is now stable and out of danger.

The fire caused significant damage to important infrastructure. This included armoured cables, an electric panel, and parts of production machinery.

Thanks to the quick response from firefighters, further destruction was prevented. Other production equipment and wiring were saved from the flames.

An investigation is underway to find out what caused the fire.
