Tensions at Korle-Bu over executive assistant’s continued stay in office

There is growing unrest at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) as staff call for the removal of Miss Bernice Ofosu, the former CEO’s Executive Assistant and current Head of the PPME Unit.

Allegations against Ofosu include involvement in a dehumanizing work environment that led to the hospital unions opposing Dr. Opoku Ware Ampomah’s contract renewal.

Under Dr. Ampomah’s leadership, directors were reportedly pressured into unethical decisions, with staff facing insults and a hostile work atmosphere.

Despite staff dissatisfaction, management has only recently reassigned her role.

Workers are now demanding a forensic audit into her tenure, citing questionable appointments, lack of transparency, and failed implementation of strategic plans.
