The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has clarified that it has not authorized any group to seize, protect, or retrieve items from government facilities.

The party’s General Secretary, Fifi Kwetey, condemned any individual taking the law into their own hands, stressing that such actions must come with legal consequences.

Kwetey made this statement during a meeting with the police to address reports of looting and property damage. He urged NDC supporters to refrain from unlawful behavior and act responsibly in their celebrations.

The party also called on the police to ensure the rule of law is upheld, especially during the transition period. The NDC emphasized the need for a legal approach to address any allegations of corruption.
