The dreams of Ghanaian youth deserve support – Mahama

President John Mahama has emphasized the need to support young Ghanaians. He believes their aspirations should be nurtured. This commitment is shown in the government’s Adwumawura programme.

He stated, “Across Ghana, young men and women have big dreams. They possess powerful ideas and a strong drive for better lives. These dreams deserve action, opportunity, and support.”

The President made a promise ahead of the 2024 election. He will prioritize youth welfare and economic empowerment through targeted interventions like Adwumawura.

He launched the initiative in Kumasi on Monday, April 28th. Mr. Mahama described it as more than just a policy; it shows faith in Ghanaian youth.

He stressed that the programme aims to nurture their ideas into successful businesses. This will help drive national progress.

The Adwumawura programme is part of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP). It provides start-up capital for young entrepreneurs and financial support for struggling ventures.

Additionally, it offers coaching services to business owners. The government plans to create 10,000 youth-led businesses each year for four years.

The President is optimistic this initiative will reduce unemployment. It aims to stimulate economic growth through local business development.
