Dr. Bossman Asare, Deputy Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC) in charge of Corporate Affairs, has defended the Commission against calls for the removal of its officials, describing such demands as uninformed.
He emphasized the EC’s commitment to transparency, efficiency, and adherence to constitutional procedures, urging critics to seek redress in court if dissatisfied with the Commission's actions.
Dr. Asare praised Ghana's electoral standards, noting international recognition for the EC’s oversight since 2018, despite controversies over the re-collation of parliamentary results favoring the NPP in several constituencies.
He stressed that the EC operates within the law and continues to uphold Ghana's democratic principles.
